Not wanting to be "those people" - you know, the ones who light the state on fire - we opted to just do sparklers and snaps on Pioneer Day. I love sparklers -- do you always write your name too? Have you ever noticed that my kids' names start with A, B, and C? That was not us trying to be clever, but it did work out pretty good...
It was kinda fun taking pictures of our sparkler designs...
We did sparklers with my family last Saturday and Ben wouldn't give it a try, but he really got into it this time. It was fun to see him get so excited.
So here's to the Pioneers. Nothing honors them quite like lighting up the skies, right?
