We were staying in Island Park over the 4th, so we headed to West Yellowstone for a parade and fireworks show that evening. It felt appropriately festive, especially when Ben found a flag and ran around waving it for a bit.
And then he found Grandpa's hat, which was also a bunch of fun.
Annie spent her time in Uncle Jed's pocket, which basically translated into "she would not leave him alone the entire night." But don't worry, he was a good sport about it. I mean, who wouldn't love playing with this cutie pie?
It got a little long waiting for the fireworks to start, but the troops held up well. Mostly cause Grandma brought a bunch of Pokemon cards for Cole and his cousins to fight over.
And then, they finally started. It was a pretty good show. Here's a shot of a large group of tourists from a certain country which shall remain nameless who totally blocked my view of the show while filming it. There has to be some sort of freedom message in that, right? Don't worry, I just moved a bit so I could still see.
