Oktoberfest

 Oktoberfest 2012 Menu:

Rouladen (thin cut of steak rolled up with a bacon-mushroom-other stuff-filling
Klöse & Gravy (pronounced clue-zuh - potato dumplings with a piece of bread in the center)
Sauerkraut
Apple Juice (non-German style which means no fizz/club soda)
Real German Chocolate Cake

 Other news of note:

The Smoker Dolls remind me of college days when I had an incense burner.  Still undecided whether I like that smell or not, but I do have good college days memories.

Dad always shares a mission story or two.  Either mom has a terrible memory or he continues to come up with new ones, cause they are always surprising.

We recite a little German rhyme before we eat.  I still no zero of the words.  Maybe we should have dad write it down.

Our German hats are getting a little small, which sadly meant mom donated hers to the kids, resulting in zero pictures of mom in a German hat.  *sniff sniff*

Ben looked more like a gnome than a cute little German boy.  Time for new hats.

Conclusion:  One of these years, we need to actually visit Germany.
