Dear Little Ben-

One-month-old! Can you believe it? I hardly can. It is amazing how much you have grown in the past month. You were our tiniest little baby, but nobody would believe it now the way you are growing. I love having a newborn - even despite the fact that you never sleep for longer than two hours at a stretch. You have been such a strong little guy right from birth. You do this funny thing with your neck where you lean on our chests and then stick your neck back and hold it there. That is your favorite position to be held. You have already rolled over four or five times. You are starting to be a vocal little baby and even said "hi" to Aunt Kar on the phone the other night. She was pretty excited. I like to hear you cooing. When you were first born, you hated diaper changes and bath time. You seem to quite like diaper changes now, but bath time still ticks you off. You are a much-loved little guy - Cole and Annie attack you regularly. Annie calls you "my Ben" and pouts whenever we won't let her hold you. We all love to see the little smiles you have started giving us - please keep those coming.

What a great month! We can't wait to see all the things you learn and do this next month. Happy Birthday Ben.

PS -- Sorry about the pink birthday cake. Sorry to say, but it is probably not the last time your big sis chooses something pink for you. It was quite delicious, however.
