We didn't spend the entire month of August on the lake, although one of these years I wouldn't mind trying that. We had time to squeeze in a little farming fun too.
Ben helped with harvest, thank goodness, or I would probably hear about how he didn't get to help until next August.
Molly got a couple of rides in too. She's always ready for a party, sometimes whilst wearing her big sister's swimsuit.
Annie and I had a 4-H group with some of her friends this summer. She won blue ribbons for her fudge, muffins, and cookies and a red ribbon for her photography. Good job, Annie!
Uncle Jake wanted to make a redneck waterslide this year, so he pulled some hay tarps and barrels up to Eva's and set one up. He needed some riders, so we came out to party. It was a blast...until the water ran dry! Next year, we better try it in June when there's still water in the dam.
Ben laughed hysterically the entire time, which is fun for everyone because Ben has the world's best laugh. It really can't be beat.
And Grandma Rose brought donuts, so she was pretty popular too. She's always pretty popular with those grandkids.
