Tree time once again. On the way up, Floyd was convinced we would be in the mud this year. I was betting on snow.
Clearly, I won.
There was lots of deep, heavy snow, which kinda abbreviated the time spent searching. It was a serious workout. The kids didn't seem to mind the deep snow or the freezing temps, however,
The tree hunt was further abbreviated when the wind started to blow and this large tree blew down, landing in between Floyd and I. Luckily, he noticed and took a step back while yelling, "look out!" or we would have some serious headaches today. I dove out of the way and the tree landed right above my feet. It scared all the kids pretty good cause they thought it landed on me since they couldn't see me once it came down.
But, despite that, trees were found, donuts and hot chocolate were consumed and we stuck around long enough to get a little sledding in.
And my favorite part of the day was that we stuck around long enough to enjoy this view all the way home.
