Wasn't it just the greatest thing ever that Halloween was on a Friday this year? It was so awesome not to have to worry about getting kids home to bed. And the weather was the best I ever remember. Simple joys, right?
But, the Halloween bad news was that I missed our old neighborhood. It was a trick-or-treating mecca there. Seriously - I bet Hollywood visits our old neighborhood whenever they want to film a trick-or-treating scene. It's the best.
Our costumes were pretty classic this year. Annie wanted to be a witch so that Molly could be her black cat.
They were a cute pair, but awesome mom forgot to get a picture of just the two of them.
Ben wanted to be a skeleton, but could not tolerate face painting, so he was a bare-faced skeleton.
Until he consumed a blue sucker at which point he became a blue-lipped skeleton.
Cole was a werewolf. A very furry werewolf. Owwww!
We had to
swing by our building lot before heading out to trick-or-treat so that
Dad and Grandpa could paint Cole's face since Mom's face painting
abilities are limited to pink kitty noses and maybe clown smiles.
Grandpa nailed it, though.
Here's hoping your Halloween was super spooky and sugary too!
