So, a few weeks ago when the inversion and BITTER cold was at its very worst, we took a Saturday afternoon drive to Hardware Ranch. It was probably the best choice we made last month - 30 degrees and not a speck of dirty air. We had such a good time. The elk were pretty elk-ish, meaning they just sat there as we drove through them. Not the most excitement ever, but I don't think I'd move much either if I was stuck in the snow all winter long. The fun part was afterwards when Floyd decided to just sled the kids down the hill in their snowsuits. They had such a good time - we were all laughing hard, especially at Ben who just flew down the hill.
Cole usually got a little tangled up - he's got kinda long limbs, ya know.
We also had fun sitting around the fire sipping our hot chocolate (the fire was a new addition since I was last there - I liked it).
It was so nice to be up there. You should go, whoever you are...

Love those hats, love those kids. Wish I could have stayed longer to be there.
