Winter. Finally.

I'm more of a summer girl than a winter girl, but when it is winter, I like it to really be winter. Meaning lots of snow. Because what is the point of cold if you don't get snow to go with it? So this snow-less winter has not been my favorite and I have been mentally planting my garden since I packed away the Christmas decorations.

But. Finally we had a little winter fun this weekend. First, there was ice skating. Just me and the big kids. Floyd, Mr. Bad Knee, and Ben, He-Who-Must-Nap, stayed home. Cole had a wonderful time and although he won't likely be recruited for the hockey team (or figure skating club) anytime soon, he did pretty good. Annie had a fun time, but her toes got a little cold so she sat in the stands and waved at us for the last little while. She wears a swimsuit all winter long, yet somehow ice skating fully-clothed got to her. Go figure.

And at last there was snow. So we played and played and played. Snow men, sleigh rides, snow caves, and snowball fights. It was great...

...but I still won't mind if spring decides to come a little early this year.
