Puppy Love

I have been surprised at how much the kids love Daisy, our new puppy. Cole is very responsible with her and attentive to her needs. She is a playful little thing and hasn't caused too much trouble yet. Cole has loved her from the start - the jury was out for a few days with Annie, but now she just laughs when Daisy jumps all over her and licks her face. Daisy is pretty good with the kids so far. I hope she still is when she gets bigger than them.
She seems to have monkey genes in there somewhere - quite a climber! Cole is quite displeased with our no dogs on the trampoline rule.In the words of Cole, "what could be better than a boy and his puppy?"

Yesterday, I showed Abby and Spencer, the pictures of Annie and Cole, with Daisy, and they admired them whole-heartedly. Later, while I was fixing dinner, I overheard the game they were playing. It was a new one in their budding repertoire, they'd created it just that day. The game was Annie, Cole, and Daisy the dog. It consisted of Abby alternating between playing the characters of, Daisy the dog, and Annie. And, Spencer playing the part of Cole. Abby portraying Annie would say, "Coley, come here. Daisy's a nice dog. she won't hurt you." Then she'd become Daisy, and bark, and lick Spencer, and say. "Yes, I'm nice. I won't hurt you." Then, Spencer playing Cole would say, "oh yes, you are a nice dog. I like you. Do you want to go hunting? I like to go hunting."
So you see, your Blog is not only interesting, it promotes stimulating play time as well! Keep those posts comin'!
