Spring Break

We spring breaked in red rock country this year - Canyonlands, Arches, and Goblin Valley. We had a great time. We swam, we hiked, we laughed, some of us probably cried, and, miracle of miracles, everyone slept through the night in the hotel room.

That's been a long time coming.

Canyonlands was pretty low-key. We just went on a couple of quick hike/walks. The White Rim biking trail looked pretty cool, but a little difficult for our family's biking level.

The kids were all troopers on the hike to Delicate Arch.

Even Molly, leaving the hiking backpack empty for a good part of the hike. She climbed in on the way down, but made most of the trek up by herself.

I haven't been to Delicate Arch for lots of years. It really is incredible.

We decided we didn't plan enough time to spend in Arches, so next time, we'll plan for a longer stay.

On the drive home, we detoured through Goblin Valley. Our kids loved it every bit as much as they did the last time we visited.

It's such a great place for kids to just run and play.

I'm pretty sure we stopped for a picture in this same spot last time.

Molly was an infant last time and didn't get to do any exploring. She made up for it this go round.

It was great to get away - we are so lucky to have so many great spring break options nearby.
