When Floyd and I were in high school and later after his mission, we spent a lot of time boating together. Him skiing, me flopping around in the water. And occasionally skiing. On Friday night, Aunt Kar came to watch the kids and Floyd and I went on a REAL date.
My choice - boating on Willard Bay. There was no skiing involved this time since our boat is just a little fishing boat, although Floyd says it could pull me. Floyd did a little fishing, I drove the boat (with him steering me in the right direction now and again), and mostly we enjoyed how very quiet it was. You wouldn't believe how loud three children can be. Unless you happen to have seen our three children in church.
It was a beautiful summer night. We ate a few snacks, talked and laughed, and stayed until sunset pretendeding we were young again. We might have even kissed a few times.
I could use a few more dates like this one.
{All pictures were taken using Instagram on Floyd's Iphone. I'm pretty sure he was holding his breath the whole time that I wouldn't drop it in the lake. Not that anyone in our family (*cough*Floyd*cough*) has ever dropped a phone in a lake before}.

Man that looks like it could be on a movie. I like the lighting. Glad you had fun, I know I did!

Date nights are so needed and that sounds like such a peaceful one! I am jealous- And those pictures are awesome!
"Summer lovin', had me a blast. Summer days driftin' away, to uh-oh, those summer nights." I'm glad you got yourself some 'Summer Lovin' in. Heaven knows, we all need it.
What a fun date night idea....and a cheap one too.
